Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is a American TV personality who is a chef, and a former instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. She is host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef at Food Network. Food Network. Anne Burrell, a Food Network celebrity with her signature spiky blonde hair and a pumped up personality reveals easy techniques to master and reduces intimidation of restaurants dishes in her show Secrets of a Restaurant. The chef Burrell is also a seasoned veteran of New York City's best restaurants. Additionally, she has studied Italy's culinary tradition and the culture of Italy, and the surrounding landscape. Growing up in upstate New York, Chef Burrell discovered a love for cooking and food from an early age. Her passion was for working in the restaurant business by enrolment in The Culinary Institute of America following her graduation in English and Communications from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. She says "I loved being a Culinary Institute of America (CIA) student. I was awed by every moment." It was difficult to master how to do, or even work hard enough. Following graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany and La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) while attending an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. While in Italy, Chef Burrell developed an appreciation for and understanding of Italian cuisine. This had an enormous effect on the way she thinks about food. Burrell is a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which brightens the lives of children who are struggling. Burrell is also an Juvenile diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Advocate where she promotes awareness of young diabetics. She travels frequently around the country in her role as both a mentor and public speaker in which she speaks about her work and passion for cooking. Anne was always grateful that she could share the passion of her life, and her passion for cooking, with people around the world.
