Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn (born Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn) is an American actor working on television, film as well as theater. She's been a professional actor for over 27 years. She first made an appearance on stage with an off Broadway production of The Big Funk by John Patrick Shanley in the year 1990. The Perfect Tribute was her first TV appearance one year later. In 1992, she received her big break after being cast in the movie Basic Instinct as a supporting character. The Firm is where she began her career as the female star alongside Tom Cruise & Gene Hackman. Through the 1990s her career was a collaboration with Hollywood's top stars such as Gwyneth in Sliding doors, Hugh Grant Mickey Blue Eyes as well as Julie Andrews Relative Values. Recently she played Dr Alex Blake in the internationally well-known crime procedural Criminal Minds.
