Vinita Nair
In July 2004 Nair joined ABC News covering a number of stories. These included the probe into the death of Jon Benet Ramsey and the shootings in Bailey, Colorado. Nair was hired by ABC News as an anchor/correspondent for ABC News Now in December 2007. As part of her role as a correspondent, Nair was able to provide live coverage and briefings to ABC's network. Nair was co-anchor of World News Now and America This Morning on ABC, from September 17th of 2008 up to February 18, 2011. On both shows, she was partnered initially together with Jeremy Hubbard. Later she collaborated with Rob Nelson. Nair made it clear to viewers on World News Now that she would not be appearing in World News Now after Friday 18th of February 2011. Nair also announced that Friday would be the day off as her last for ABC News. The former KDVR Denver anchor Peggy Bunker was her successor immediately. For each of the three segments of the World News Now's February 18 show, Nair was honored by current and past colleagues such including Jeremy Hubbard. On her last day, Nair treated her crew to breakfast that was delicious.
